LETVIS APP control center |
APP control center RDC (APP) is intended for the air traffic control in the area of interest of permanent and alternate (diversion) civil or military aerodromes. It provides radar/procedural approach and landing control for aircraft day and night, under adverse meteorological conditions and under conditions of clutter. It is equipped with radar display systems for PSR, SSR and PAR, multiradar information reception system, voice/data communication record and replay system, voice communication control system (VCCS), as well as with radio transmitters and receivers for ground–air communication or the system for remote control of local radars. |

| Consist of: |
1. Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) MORAD- L radar equipped with SSR, remote control and diagnostic unit and radar data display RDD for radar controller
2. Precision Approach Radar (PAR) MORAD-P equipped with remote control and diagnostic unit and radar data display RDD/PAR for radar controller
3. Transportable or fixed APP control centre integrated in air conditioned shelter

| General capabilities: |
The working positions of APP center controllers are installed in an isothermal air-conditioned container, which can be equipped with filter-ventilating facility with a possibility of using the CB filters. The power distribution enables a supply from two independent three-phase electrical power-units. Their diagnostics and switch-over in case of breakdown of one of them is automatic. Every phase of the electric feeder is provided with a back-up power supply (UPS 1500 VA), which ensures a complete funcionality of the equipment for a period of 15 minutes.
In the container are integrated three following working positions:
- precision approach and landing controller,
- TMA radar controller,
- technician
A diagnostics and remote control of PAR of MORAD-P type and PSR, SSR of MORAD-L type from CWPs are possible. At the same time it is possible at CWPs to display a complete air multi-radar situation over the area of interest, output information from the planning system and output information from the AFTN or meteo information as well.
